Open Letter to Pro-Murder Liberals

I'm incredibly tired of, and disgusted by, people who claim that abortion is perfectly fine because it's “just a mass of cells” or the “zygote/embryo/fetus” isn't really “human” until it's born. Here are some medical facts that put the lie to those kind of statements.

The embryology textbook “Before We Are Born: Essentials of Embryology and Birth Defects” (page 500) states: 'The zygote and early embryo are LIVING HUMAN organisms.' [emphasis mine]

There is another embryology textbook that bears the title “Human Life Before Birth.”

A short time line of a typical pregnancy, lasting 38 weeks, beginning 3 weeks after fertilization:

3 Weeks: The eyes and spinal cord are visible and the developing brain has two lobes.
3 Weeks, 1 day: The heart begins to beat.
4 Weeks: The heart is beating and a circulatory system is in place. Specific brain components and internal organs such as the lungs are beginning to develop and can be identified. The heart typically beats between 105 and 121 times per minute.
7 Weeks: Muscles and nerves begin working together. When the upper lip is tickled, the arms move backwards. The cerebrum has divided into hemispheres.
9 Weeks: More than 90% of the body structures found in a full-grown human are present. The medical classification changes from an embryo to a fetus. This dividing line was chosen by embryologists because from this point forward, most development involves growth in existing body structures instead of the formation of new ones. The preborn human moves body parts without any outside stimulation.
10 Weeks: All parts of the brain and spinal cord are formed. The heart pumps blood to every part of the body. The whole body is sensitive to touch except for portions of the head. The preborn human makes facial expressions.
12 Weeks: Electrical signals from the nervous system are measurable. After an abortion, efforts to suckle will sometimes be observed. (Nope – not human at all, is it?)
14 Weeks: The preborn human makes coordinated movements of the arms and legs.
16 Weeks: The preborn human makes eye movements.
18 Weeks: The portion of the brain responsible for functions such as reasoning, memory and language (the cerebral cortex) has the same number of nerve cells as a full-grown adult. Pain sensory receptors have spread to all portions of the skin and mucous membranes.
20 Weeks: The preborn human sleeps, awakes and can hear sounds.
24 Weeks: The blink-startle reflex and taste buds are functional. The preborn human will swallow more amniotic fluid if a sweetener is added to it. The grip is strong enough to hold onto an object that is moving up and down. If born and given specialized care, the survival rate is more than 80%.
28 Weeks: If exposed to an 85 decibel noise while sleeping (about as loud as a blender), preborn humans exhibit the "motor behaviors that accompany the crying state." Premature infants born at this time are more sensitive to pain than infants who are born at 38 weeks, and infants who are born at 38 weeks are more sensitive to pain than infants at 3-12 months after birth. If born and given specialized care, the survival rate is more than 95%.
38 Weeks: Average point in time when humans are born. At birth, the medical classification changes from a fetus to a neonate.

Another scientific textbook, called "Basics of Biology," gives five characteristics of living things; these five criteria are found in all modern elementary scientific textbooks:
1. Living things are highly organized.
2. All living things have an ability to acquire materials and energy.
3. All living things have an ability to respond to their environment.
4. All living things have an ability to reproduce.
5. All living things have an ability to adapt.

It *is* LIFE. This is indisputable FACT.

Furthermore, that life is unquestionably human. A human being is a member of the species homo sapiens. Human beings are products of conception, which is when a human male sperm unites with a human female oocyte (egg). When humans procreate, they don't make non-humans like slugs, monkeys, cactuses, bacteria, or any such thing. Emperically-verifiable proof is as close as your nearest abortion clinic: send a sample of an aborted fetus to a laboratory and have them test the DNA to see if its human or not. Genetically, a new human being comes into existence from the earliest moment of conception.

Definition of abortion: 1. Also called voluntary abortion. the removal of an embryo or fetus from the uterus in order to end a pregnancy. 2. any of various surgical methods for terminating a pregnancy, especially during the first six months.

According to the website uslegal.com, murder is defined as: A person commits the crime of murder if with intent to cause the death of another person, he causes the death of that person or of another person,or under circumstances manifesting extreme indifference to human life, he recklessly engages in conduct which creates a grave risk of death to a person other than himself, and thereby causes the death of another person.

We've already established that the zygote/embryo/fetus is HUMAN. We've established that it's ALIVE from the moment of conception. Abortion, for the purposes of this discussion, is the removal of said embryo/fetus from the uterus in order to end a pregnancy. In short, they kill it. Murder is causing, with the intent to do so, the death of another human being. These facts are inarguable.

From conception forward, at no point in time is this scientifically NOT a human being. There's no moral or religious argument in this post, although I could frame those arguments as well. These are cold, hard, UNBIASED, medical and scientific FACTS. Anyone who believes they can deny them has an agenda, not TRUTH, on their side. So I ask you, “pro-choicers” - how abortion is NOT murder? Know this – when you say your PRO-CHOICE, what you're really saying is you're PRO-MURDER. Again, this is not a religious argument – it's science and logic. You can try to argue it if you want, but you'll only show your ignorance of fact.

Look – I'll be honest here. I don't know all the answers. I don't PRETEND to know all the answers. I don't know how these murdered children would have grown up, who they would have become. Nobody knows. Nobody COULD know. Not knowing, however, doesn't mean I can't take a stand against abortion. And as a victim of abortion, I *demand* my right to give my opinion (what *should* have been my second child was murdered at four and a half months into the pregnancy by her "mother").

What I DO know is abortion is just flat out wrong, evil. It *is* MURDER, as I've outlined above. The intentional taking of human life is murder, plain and simple. This isn't an *US vs. THEM* issue anymore; this is about *GOOD vs. EVIL.* Abortion certainly doesn't represent any God-given right as I understand the Constitution.

This is about making a CHOICE, and not in the way the left means, either. Abortion represents the choice and desire to shirk the consequences of your actions; to deny that you even HAVE responsibility for the creation of another living being. That child didn't just *magically* appear. For you to become pregnant, you kinda had to be there. Your actions come with consequences. Why is it that the only INNOCENT person, one who wasn't even INVOLVED in your actions, is the one that pays the price?

The last few paragraphs of this post did not come easy, and if I offend a woman who had an abortion and now regrets it, I humbly apologize. I'm not picking on women who've had abortions; I'm really not. This post isn't directed at you. This is directed at the militant pro-murder crowd; the ones who think abortions should be handed out like they're candy – the women who carry a mattress with them wherever they go, along with a sign that says “curb service.” You “ladies” - and I use that in the LOOSEST possible manner - say you're adults. Why don't you try ACTING like one? ~ Hunter
