Tuesday,
the day after the first open enrollment for Obamacare ended, King
DingleBarry and his Court announced that approximately 7.1 million
have officially signed up for “private insurance” through the
exchanges.
At
first, I thought it was some kind of sick April Fool's joke, albeit
not a *funny* joke. It was coming from one of the biggest
fools in recorded history, of course. Then I remembered – the
Constant Campaigner doesn't have a sense of humor, so it
wasn't a joke.
We can
argue the validity of those numbers until we're hoarse. Personally,
I don't believe them, not even a little bit, especially given that it
wasn't too long ago that reports were saying the numbers were going
to be well short of their own goals. That's not what this post is
about.
We all
know that upwards of 5.5 million people lost their individual health
plans due to the ridiculous “one size fits all” regulations.
Seriously, how many sixty-eight year old men need prenatal and/or
maternity care? This is established, well-documented, and
inarguable. There's also fear that perhaps another 150 million,
or more, might lose their insurance coverage when the employer
mandate finally kicks in later this year That's not
what this post is about.
Health
insurance premiums are rising precipitously under Obamacare, and
they're rising faster than they did during the eight years prior to
the “law” being enacted.
Let's not mention how they're slated to rise even more
next year.
Still think this was all a good idea? We've still not reached the
point of this post.
What
this post is about is a little something called fascism, Obamacare's
dirty little secret. When a government mandates that a company,
business, or industry must sell a certain product, or sell a
product a certain way – that's called fascism. By the way, another
dirty little secret is that the insurance companies aren't really
private anymore.
When the
government mandates that its nation's citizens must purchase a
certain product, and that product must meet government
regulations or it cannot be purchased, guess what that is? I'll give
you three guesses, and the first two don't count. If you guessed
fascism, you'd be correct. Oops, did I spill another secret?
Doesn't
really sound like “private” insurance, does it?
Don't
believe me? Let's review a little history. This is part of the Nazi
Manifesto, first published in 1920:
10. The
first obligation of every citizen must be to work both spiritually
and physically. The activity of individuals is not to counteract the
interests of the universality, but must have its result within the
framework of the whole for the benefit of all Consequently we demand:
11.
Abolition of unearned (work and labour) incomes. Breaking of
rent-slavery.
12. In
consideration of the monstrous sacrifice in property and blood that
each war demands of the people personal enrichment through a war must
be designated as a crime against the people. Therefore we demand the
total confiscation of all war profits.
13. We
demand the nationalization of all (previous) associated industries
(trusts).
14. We
demand a division of profits of all heavy industries.
15. We
demand an expansion on a large scale of old age welfare.
16. We
demand the creation of a healthy middle class and its conservation,
immediate communalization of the great warehouses and their being
leased at low cost to small firms, the utmost consideration of all
small firms in contracts with the State, county or municipality.
17. We
demand a land reform suitable to our needs, provision of a law for
the free expropriation of land for the purposes of public utility,
abolition of taxes on land and prevention of all speculation in land.
18. We
demand struggle without consideration against those whose activity is
injurious to the general interest. Common national criminals,
usurers, Schieber and so forth are to be punished with death, without
consideration of confession or race.
19. We
demand substitution of a German common law in place of the Roman Law
serving a materialistic world order.
For
those of you who don't know, fascism is derived from
the Italian word fascio,
which means “bundle.” Despite what the history
books will tell you, fascism is a right-wing ideology. Collectivism,
no matter what the veneer, is always a left-wing ideology.
That's pretty indisputable, although I'm sure liberals will try (and
fail). I'm also pretty sure that we can all agree that Hitler and
the Nazis were bad, as were Mussolini and his brand of fascists. I
don't know if you've noticed, but everything listed above is
collective in nature.
I've
said this multiple times, but it's worth saying again, over and over,
until people start ignoring me or they actually listen – there was
a much easier way to fix the problems with the health insurance
industry (it's not health care that's the problem), and it
wouldn't have been that far of a stretch for the Vapid Vacationer to
do, given his track record so far. He could have picked up that pen
he likes to brag about so much, and with one of his Imperial Decrees
(that's Executive Order for you liberals) completely wiped away the
restrictions on selling health insurance across state lines. It's
been proven, time and time again, that true, free-market competition
breeds lower costs. Instead, the Head Jackass went the socialism
route by mandating things that aren't needed for people who won't use
them. I don't think I've ever known of a nun who needs
maternity care, have you?
What
bothers me the most is that my fellow countrymen actually voted for
this mess; voted to be controlled. It's stunning in its
ignorance, shameful in its shortsightedness, and those of us who were
actually paying attention are going to have to suffer under this
idiocy like everyone else.
The
question now is – What are we going to do about it? ~ Hunter
